Hibonite tanzanite (pink) elongated crystal with interesting growthWe were able to acquire a large lot of excellent crystals of this rare mineral. The partially hexagonal crystals are mostly completely black and exhibit an attractive star shaped luster reflection on the crystal faces, reminiscent of trapiche crystals. This is the best matrix piece of the find. Although the hibonite is small and slightly weathered, it also has the star shaped reflection on one side.
