This is the second miniature furniture piece (though the scale of this is more tabletop sculpture than dollhouse) I've found in as many weeks with carved "teeth"

Alura Talking Machine, Antique Phonograph Disc Reproducer minature chair This is the second miniatureI'm not the least bit knowledgable about old phonographs, but know this is a "reproducer" disc, the function of which was is to convert the sound impressions from the record into sound waves. Coming across it the other day in Maine, I just loved seeing the words "talking machine" in perfect sans serif capital letters, and all the better combined with "Alura" and two stars in between. The first thing it made me think of, actually, was artificial
